The 2nd edition of AMTEX in Mumbai happened from the 12th to 15th April 2017 at Hall-1 of the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (East), Mumbai. The exhibition saw participation of 148 companies, including 29 international companies in pavilions dedicated to Taiwan and China. The number of business visitors across the 4 days of the exhibition was 8260.
The exhibition was supported by the SME Chamber of India, and All India Association of Industries (AIAI).
The key participants of AMTEX 2017 were- Sahajanand Laser Technology Ltd (SLTL), Ravik Engineers, Onward Technologies, Keyence India, Simhope Industrial, Hangzhou Hirono Tools Ltd, Werner Finley.
The exhibition saw an engineering startup, DeSwam who are looking to revolutionize Indian manufacturing by bringing high tech low cost precision machines to India, . Alaric Arockiaswamy the man behind the mission is confident that his efforts will boost 'Make in India.' Another participant at AMTEX 2017 was Haryana based LPS Bossard who proudly displayed their latest innovations which are aligned with industry to provide intelligent solutions in logistic systems.
The exhibition showcased a wide array of Machine Tools, Machineries and Allied Products, including experts from length and breadth of the Machine Tool and Manufacturing industry in India and global participants. AMTEX in Mumbai witnessed the Business Matchmaking Program for the first time. It is an online platform dedicated to schedule meetings in advance between exhibitors and visitors. Meetings happen during the exhibition. There were more than 50 meetings that happened during AMTEX 2017 through this program.
The fourth day of the exhibition ended with recognition of the best stalls, where Keyence India stood at third place, Werner Finley stood at second place, and the winner for the Best Stall went to Sahajanand Laser Technology Ltd.
The next edition of AMTEX will happen from the 6th to 9th July 2018 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, and has already started to create a lot of buzz among the manufacturing companies across the globe. The exhibition will be spread across 7 halls, showcasing machineries in the field of sheet metal, tooling and forming.
